Just joined LiveJournal today, as it has been mentioned as useful and fun by a sufficient number of my friends that I really can't avoid it any longer.  Can't promise frequent updates or anything; I guess I'll just take things as they come and see how it goes.

In recent news: saw Harry Potter 5 and read Harry Potter 7 (both awesome); had a great time out with some friends on Saturday seeing Transformers and chatting (movie was decent, with occasional moments of awfulness or brilliance, but company was 100% wonderful); and seem to have suffered the loss of my laptop harddrive, which just stopped working  last night.
